Credit & Collections Specialist

Job Description Position Objective: The primary responsibility of the Credit & Collections Specialist is the overall collections and resolution of delinquent accounts, and to perform the functions as noted below.

This role is also intended to assist the Accounting, Sales, and all other Field and Office personnel in various duties, as they relate to the essential functions of the Service Department.

The position allows the individual to develop various skills through both formalized and on-the-job training, with the intent to learn and demonstrate the skills required to advance to alternate career path in Service, Management, Marketing, or other Administrative positions within the Company.

Reports to: Accounting Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process new customer applications, including credit references Aging Report Responsible for calling for payment of delinquent accounts Review, understand, and apply the terms in the investigation, identification, documentation and resolution of collection efforts Communicate with the Accounts Receivable Specialist regarding any incorrectly coded accounts Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts, following up on document requests from internal and external departments, payment arrangements status and resolving billing discrepancies Actively and consistently update Accounting Manager of collection activities including any potential issues related to any escalation and provide recommendations for resolution Answer e-mails and voice messages Keeping organized and detailed documentation of all correspondence with customers Receives payments and posts amount paid to accounts Responsible for assisting with month & yearend reports Environment: Duties are performed at the corporate facility in Lindenwold, NJ.

Duties performed may require compliance with OSHA policies, and the use of required safety apparel and equipment.

Minimum Requirements: Two (2) years of work experience in an administrative role Working knowledge of a computer word processing program and spreadsheet program Ability to schedule meetings and follow up calls without assistance Ability to qualify customer needs (environment, capacity, limits, etc.) Possesses excellent interpersonal, phone, customer service, and team communication skills Demonstrates reliability and aptitude to function in a fast paced, detailed environment Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
