Credentialing Coordinator

Adfinitas Health has an opportunity for a Credentialing Coordinator to join our team in Hanover, Maryland.

The credentialing coordinator is an integral part of our credentialing team, who coordinates all functions related to the hospital credentialing and re-credentialing of hospital providers and maintains credentialing files.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES: Receives and processes all initial hospital credentialing and re-credentialing applications.

Manages hospital credentialing workload of 35 to 40 files for several facilities at a time.

Collects all pertinent information from the provider, provider’s malpractice insurer, National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) and other sources as deemed appropriate.

Ensures that hospital credentialing and re-credentialing of providers occurs on a timely basis in accordance with industry and company standards and criteria.

Ensures compliance with all required CME and facility-specific education/training requirements.

Maintains accurate and complete records of each application’s status.

Maintains a status on all active credentialing and/or re-credentialing applications.

Prepares all documents to be reviewed by the Executive Director as needed.

Maintains all credentialing and re-credentialing timelines and schedules.

Maintains strict level of confidentiality on all matters pertaining to provider.

Maintains well-organized provider files that are easily reviewed by credentialing committee, outside review bodies, and others.

Maintains database and generates reports as required.

Processes approval, denial, or termination letters on behalf of facility or Adfinitas Health as needed.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.

(GED) Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred Experience with Cactus preferred AA degree desirable.

Minimum of two (2) years hospital credentialing experience required.
