Description: Tax Responsible Person-(Director/Senior Manager Level)As a result of our ongoing growth, we are looking to hire a Director/Senior Manager to join our team.
This person will need to be comfortable running an existing book of business and signing returns, but is not expected to bring a book of business with them.
The ideal candidate will strong tax review, tax audit defense and research skills and be comfortable interacting with clients and governmental agencies.
Experience in business management, entertainment industry, real estate, high net worth individuals and multi-jurisdictional (state and international) planning are helpful.
CPA license is required.Job Duties: Review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns Identify industry/client tax issues and situations, and assist with tax research and planning Advise and assist in resolving IRS and state issues and responding to governmental correspondence and audits.
Comprehensive year-end tax planning and closeouts for loan out corporations and analyze payroll withholding requirements for state and federal.
Supervise and review work of other team member with accounting responsibilities as necessary.Qualifications: In depth knowledge and experience with tax concepts related to individuals, C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, estates and trusts.
Minimum of 8 years of tax experience with a public accounting firm and/or family office tax experience.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field and grasp of accounting and financial statement concepts.
Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, QuickBooks and tax specific software such as BNA, Pro-System and tax return tracking software.
Familiarity with working in a paperless environment and document retention.
Ability to interact, manage and communicate with clients (written, verbal, and in person) both externally and internally for business management clients.
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve issues, perform research, and demonstrate critical thinking to implement tax advice to respond to new legislation and planning.
Attention to detail, organization skills and ability to multi-task is required.
