Carolina PRG is seeking a Cost Analyst for a growing international manufacturer and distributor in the Hickory, NC area.

Duties and Responsibilities: Provide financial analysis relative to productivity improvements, factory spending, manufacturing variances, standard costs and inventory management.
Support the day to day, monthly, and annual financial controls and reporting Analyze the monthly manufacturing department spending vs.
budget and provide a variance analysis of the key expense drivers.
Maintenance of the standard cost system and inventory valuations.
Provide real-time cost updates and bills of material, support new product introductions, and accessories.
Work with VP of Sales & Marketing to create selling prices for these activities.
Assist in preparation of annual overhead rates, operational budgets and inventory projects.
Prepare monthly fixed asset roll-forward.
Provide supporting analysis to finance management as needed.
Year-end inventory revaluation, in coordination with the Operations team.
Reconciliation and variance analysis for major physical inventory variances.
Coordination with year-end external auditor.
Review CAPEX requests.
Skills and Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing firm.
Minimum: BS degree in Accounting/Finance.
MBA/CPA desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word required.
Familiarity with ERP systems.
Ability to meet strict internal and external reporting deadlines with accuracy a must.
