We’re excited to meet you!Job Purpose:Under the general supervision of the Corporate Security Manager, the incumbent is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring regional employee safety and physical site security programs.

Areas of responsibility include the implementation and maintenance of a coordinated physical site security program, and investigation and analysis of incidents related to safety or security to determine the cause and recommend appropriate preventive measures.Implementation and maintenance of a Safety Management System that meets the compliance requirements of all applicable regulatory agencies (optional).Responsibilities:Follows-up on key performance indicators (KPIs), as indicated by its line manager.Participates in all aspects of security, including, but not necessarily limited to, personnel and property protection operations, intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV systems.Provides support for damaged, missing, stolen goods surveys during transport or in logistics centers.Provides support for investigations of all fraudulent activities concerning the company or any actions contrary to the company’s policy or ethics and coordinates the results with the Corporate Security Manager.Develops and coordinates security policies with its line manager and informs him/her about security related issues to support Tech Data’s Worldwide Minimum Security Standards and/or TAPA FSR A Standards compliance.Participates in the investigation and analysis of security incidents to determine the cause, and to develop and recommend appropriate preventive measures.Compiles and presents investigative reports to its line manager.Conducts regular training of Tech Data personnel regarding security issues and awareness.Prevents and reports any loss or theft of company property.Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and the application of security policies.Conducts weekly verification of security technology systems.Addresses and reports ineffective security equipment.Regularly checks if access control procedures and protocols are adhered to.Maintains strict confidentiality of business operations, operating systems and confidential business information.In the absence of its line manager, ensures all aspects of Security and serves as his/her back up.Maintains direct relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, such as Inventory Control, Customer Service team and Carrier Security personnel, to actively work together to reduce LIT figures and to produce reports and recommendations for Corporate Security Management and Logistics Director.Collaborates with law enforcement agencies to investigate and solve internal/external theft or fraud cases.Participates in annual security/safety audits and risk/threat assessments at the Logistics Centers and carrier hubs in its designated region.Is available for travel on short notice within its designated region to address urgent security needs whenever and wherever they may arise.Manages and supervises the security personnel in the Logistics Centers.First in line to react to urgent security breaches such as intrusion alarms which may require travel to other sites.Investigates warehouse shrink outside of acceptable ranges and proposes action plans to remediate and reduce shrinkage.

Executes programs to aid in the prevention of inventory and controllable losses.Develops a local network of professional security contacts in the logistics environment to enhance Tech Data’s business and security intelligence profiles.Participates in various security related organizations to keep current on security issues.Performs other duties as assigned by the Corporate Security Manager.Conducts regular knowledge checks on the company’s internal regulations, fire safety rules and procedures with the service provider (optional)Knowledge Skills and Experience:To carry out the above-mentioned tasks, knowledge of each of these tasks is essential and must reflect the level of experience, competence and abilities of the Coordinator.Ability to work cross-functionally, independently or virtually in a minimally structured and fast-paced environment.Native language and English capability is essential.Ability to manage investigations, some complex and highly sensitive, as part of a team covering all areas of the business.Advanced computer skills.Ability to clearly and diplomatically articulate ideas and transmit necessary information.Capable of identifying problems and proposing cost beneficial and SMART solutions.Able to think strategically and tactically.Demonstrates personal traits of self-motivation, team orientation, professionalism, trustworthiness, and places a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.Security professional with extensive supply chain expertise.Robust understanding of, and solid experience with, physical security principles and their impact on the mitigation of threats and risks against people, assets and information.An analytical mindset with ability to present and execute on actionable findings.Experience with leading a team.
