Position Summary

The successful candidate will be a key member of the legal and operational team, responsible for drafting, negotiating and advising on contracts and legal issues for JPMS’ marketing and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the “First Stop” and trusted advisor, thought leader and counsel to marketing and operations teams and provide advice and counsel in all areas of the business and all areas of law
  • Responsible for drafting and negotiating marketing agreements, including influencer and social media agreements, services agreements and sponsorship agreements, as well as contracts for manufacturing and operations initiatives
  • Provide legal support to the business in other substantive areas of law as needed, including sustainability, real estate, corporate governance, and non-disclosure agreements
  • Identify and create opportunities to increase productivity, drive simplicity in legal operations and processes
  • Participate in special projects relating to key initiatives and/or programs, as needed

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Law Degree from an accredited law school in the United States
  • Bar admittance or license to practice law in the United States
  • 5+ years of experience addressing marketing and manufacturing matters with a law firm or as in-house corporate counsel. Previous experience with consumer products preferred

  • Independent problem solver who is able to shift seamlessly between multiple projects, ideas and approaches with a positive and flexible attitude and is highly effective and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire and willingness to learn new areas of the law or aspects of the business, even if it is nothing that you have ever done before
  • Significant experience advising global clients based regarding matters of legal and business importance and managing of related risks
  • Dependability, attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Strong abilities with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

Other

  • Travel to Century City or Santa Clarita office locations required
  • Title/compensation consistent with experience
  • Other travel is generally not required
