Warner Music Group is also home to WEA (Warner-Elektra-Atlantic), the pioneering distribution and marketing network, and ADA, the independent artist and label services company, as well as consumer brands such as Songkick the live music app, EMP the merchandise e-tailer, and UPROXX the youth culture destination.Job Title: Coordinator, Studio ProductionReports To: Manager, Studio ProductionDepartment: WEA Global Asset ManagementLocation: Los AngelesWe currently have a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and highly sought-after Global Asset team at WEA.A little bit about our team:WEA Global Asset Management consists of three specific areas of responsibility, all ultimately focused on the production, distribution, storage and digital preservation of WMG products globally.* Studio and Engineering Operations supports the audio and video needs of WMG labels, delivers production masters for physical and digital manufacturing and archives the company master assets* The Library Services team manages the safe keeping and cataloging of physical and virtual assets globally* The Archive & Digital Preservation team ensures all WMG assets are preserved for historical record and future exploitation* In total this team works closely with all the labels and other teams in media operations to create seamless and agile processes to prepare and deliver content globally to meet the business needs of Warner Music Group.Why this could be your next big break:As the Studio Production Coordinator* You will assist and manage production schedules for WEA Studios Los Angeles.* You will work closely with A&R, A&R admin, Marketing, WEA Operations, WMG labels and manufacturing partners.* You will be the main point of contact for pre-release audio management and watermarking tools.* You will administer the operation of WEA Studio services which is responsible for the initial preparation, quality assurance, and delivery of master audio and video content to physical manufacturing, and digital production.* You will coordinate audio and video deliveries with third party post houses around the world.* You will work with label personnel, artists and artist management to securely receive and distribute pre and post release audio and video.Here you’ll get to:* Interact with WMG departments around the world including A&R, WEA Studio Services, Release Operations, Sync Licensing, Brand Partnerships and Legal* Coordinate delivery of audio and video masters with engineers and A&R* Coordinate digital delivery of masters utilizing file transfer systems such as Aspera, Box and Dropbox* Provide technical assistance to troubleshoot delivery issues* Review files to ensure compliance with WEA Master Delivery Specifications* Prepare master delivery reports documenting required assets including multi-tracks, stems and different mix versions.* Catalog and archive files to Library server.* Replace and update with revisions as needed.* Research and provide best available audio sources for different product types (digital, CD, vinyl, etc.). Must ensure that assets provided are of the highest quality and ideal for intended use.* Ensure that quality is maintained for all content processed through WEA Studios.* Coordinate with all three of the WEA Studio sites in Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville.* Make sure that the needs of WEA Production Studio customers are met and that issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently on the behalf of that customer.* Maintain a highly cooperative and integrated working environment between WEA Digital Operations and WEA Global Asset Management.* Act as a liaison between online partners as well as manufacturing facilities to help ensure the best methods are used for delivery and quality assurance.* Coordinate digital transfers of master tapes. Requires database research and asset review to determine which sources are masters.* Check-in and check-out physical assets and assist with retrieval and refile may be required to lift up to 25lbs on a daily basis* Develop a continuing culture of process improvement in WEA Global Asset Management that speeds the time to market, improves product quality, and reduces operating costs.Rockstar candidates will have the following:* Understand the recording and audio and video production processes and associated terminology.* Have knowledge of digital audio and video master types.* Have knowledge of legacy audio and video formats.* Retrieve files from servers, hard drives, DVROMs and other media. Convert to desired formats as needed and send via electronic delivery.* Extensive knowledge of hard drive usage and safe handling.* Troubleshoot technical issues and provide assistance to third parties.* Understand usage and clearance requirements for different asset types and catalogs.* Have intermediate Excel proficiency including commonly used formulas.* Self-Motivator adept in delegation and project management.* Customer Focus that ensures the needs of the artist and labels are met.* Communication skills that give other team members and executives clear understanding of technical issues.* Core competency in new technologies, Audio, Video, & Graphics.* Problem Solving that quickly gets to the root of issues and the appropriate corrective measures.* Strong computer skills on various platforms, including Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux* Composure.* Comfort interacting with Senior Leadership.* Time Management and priority-setting skills Have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.* Have great multitasking and time management skills for working in a fast-paced environment.* Self-motivated.* Be flexible and willing to work on many different tasks and projects.* Work both independently and in a team environment.It would be music to our ears if you also had:* A Background in music administration.* Some technical experience in digital audio and video processing and technologies.* 1-2+ years of experienceWhy join us?Warner Music Group is all about our people.
