As a Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO) at Arete, you are responsible for successfully developing and administrating security programs and procedures by managing the “day-to-day” security operations for Collateral and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. Duties include leveraging your experience in security policy, facility protection, and risk management to ensure the security of our Special Access Programs. Overseeing Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) security and implementing SAP security policies, procedures, directives, and requirements. Communicating and coordinating with the Program Security Officer (PSO) as needed. Validating material classification, handling, and storing appropriately. Maintaining familiarity with physical security standards for the construction and protection of Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) as proscribed in ICD 705 & Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG). Maintaining Operations Security (OPSEC) principles critical for protecting operational activities and security of the SAPF. Conducting and annotating entry/exit inspections to deter unauthorized removal of classified information in accordance with DoD SAP policy. Ability to utilize Department of Defense systems and applications, which may include: DISS, NISS (ISFD, OBMS, SWIFT, STEPP and eFCL), and ACCS. Assisting with the preparation and coordination of DD Form 254’s. This position is based in our Northridge, CA office. This position may require some travel to other program sites. This is an exempt non-supervisory full-time position. Clearance based on investigation current within the last five years. · Experience in SAP security policies, procedures, directives, and requirements. · Strong knowledge of NISPOM, ICD, JSIG, DoDM 5200.01 & 5205.07 series, and the aspects specific to the execution of the Industrial Security Program. · Proficient knowledge of both identified security domains – Collateral & SAP. · Strong written and oral communication skills; Attention to detail · Proficient to strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). · Ability to effectively multi-task to obtain objectives, · Self-Starter requiring minimal supervision. Nice to have- · Current Polygraph (CI) · DISS and NISS completion of training courses · Completion of DCSA FSO training courses · Completion of SCIF/SAPF buildout courses · Completion of SAP training courses The salary range for this role is $85,000/yr to $125,000/yr; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills . Other Requirements U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility. Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Successful passage of a criminal background screen is required to meet position eligibility.
