Continuous Improvement Trainer

Job Description Rohrer is seeking a qualified Continuous Improvement Trainer to relocate to our Wadsworth, OH facility. Relocation assistance will be provided for the most qualified candidates. ROHRER A BETTER PACKAGE At Rohrer Corporation, we design, manufacture, and provide packaging solutions to some of the world’s leading brands OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION This position will drive the continuous improvement activities in planning, organizing, staffing, directing and executing improvement initiatives to drive a better customer experience while removing waste, lead time and cost. Provide positive leadership and expertise in improving operational results in Lean and Continuous Improvement tools. Facilitate Lean events and train leaders, managers, and team members in Lean tools while building a Lean culture to improve and sustain results. Gathers information to evaluate current work processes in order to determine the flow of work, time requirements, costs, and duration Develops strategies and programs that improve the productivity and efficiency of the various work processes of the plant Develop the plant continual improvement strategy using synergy from management to floor level employees Applies various industrial engineering problem solving and productivity techniques to evaluate the improvement of recommended strategies and programs Instructs others in continuous process improvements, including the use of various problem solving and productivity techniques such as process mapping and cost time management Facilitates employee teams to build cohesiveness and improve the overall results of the respective teams’ tasks Creates documents & communicates process modifications as needed Actively participates in Production & process improvement committee meetings Acts to align company goals by continually reviewing processes to create overall operating efficiencies in obtaining the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost Apply expertise to drive the following: Gemba Walks Value Stream Mapping processes 5S and Visual Management Lean & Quality metrics implementation Problem-solving & waste elimination Kaizen planning, leading events & execution of outcomes Standard Work Playbooks with takt time, cycle time & line balancing SMED TPM Root Cause Countermeasure, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone Analysis & 5 Why analysis Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS · Certified Lean Black Belt, or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years of CI experience. · Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing · Proven capability of leading a transformation effort, including change management. · College degree (minimum BS) · Good oral and written communication skills · Good leadership and relationship building skills · The ability to think critically and learn from mistakes · Ability to teach and mentor others · Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office · Strong analytical and quantitative skills · Process and detail oriented individual.
