Position Summary
The Compliance Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Intercare Therapy’s commitment to regulatory and contractual integrity. This role ensures the organization adheres to applicable laws, funding source requirements, and internal policies through meticulous documentation review, proactive tracking, and administrative coordination. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to upholding high standards of compliance in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Department by tracking licensing, credentialing, training, and other regulatory requirements for clinical and operational staff.
- Maintain and update compliance databases and logs to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
- Perform regular audits of documentation, credentialing files, and internal systems to ensure alignment with payer, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate with HR, Clinical, and Operations teams to follow up on missing or expiring documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of audit responses, reports, and summaries for internal leadership or external agencies.
- Support the implementation of compliance initiatives, policies, and process improvements.
- Monitor changes to relevant laws and payer regulations and help disseminate updates to internal stakeholders.
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding compliance procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information at all times.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in administrative, healthcare, or compliance-related roles
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
Working Conditions
- This role may be performed in a remote, hybrid, or office-based setting depending on organizational needs
- May require occasional travel for training, audits, or team meetings
