Commodity Buyer – Electric vehicles
We are helping an Electric Vehicle company find their next Commodity Buyer.
Job Requirements:
Background Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or Engineering or equivalent Supply Chain Management experience
- 5+ years of experience in automotive purchasing (OEM or Tier 1)
- Understands commodity part manufacturing and component cost elements
- Understands the basic cost elements of automotive parts
- RFQ’s requests and recommendations to management
- Buyer should possess a basic understanding of product flow through import/export and customs process
- Possesses an understanding of contractual language and fundamentals of contract writing
- Interface with supplier quality assurance on PPAPs and quality issues
- Communication skills to interface with internal and external clients
- Team player
- Available for possible overseas travel
Additional preferred skills/experience:
- Mandarin language is a plus, but not required
- SAP
- Background in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015)
- Background in Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001:2015)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite tools
