Collateral Analyst I

If you do not meet this requirement, please do not apply.Responsibilities include: Review and analyze BBC and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness; update collateral information on collateral monitoring system; reconcile collateral, loan, unapplied cash and excess availability between the collateral monitoring system and BBC; identify and resolve outstanding items.Review collections received in the Cash Collateral Account and ensure accurate application on the collateral monitoring system; monitor daily borrowing availability and process advance requests of customers; ensure all appropriate authorizations/approvals are obtained in accordance with policies and controls.Analyze accounts receivable and inventory reports of customers and calculate ineligible collateral; review and incorporate audit findings relevant to the assigned portfolio.Assist RM’s in monitoring on-going portfolio risk exposure by identifying and escalating suspicious/inconsistent activities, reporting exceptions, material variance, and overdraft and over-advance issues.Serve as backup for other Collateral Analysts; maintains up-to-date and well organized documentation and files.Develop and maintain solid working relationship with clients and RMs and provides exceptional customer service; ensures operational excellence by maintaining accuracy, internal control, compliance, communication and teamwork.Perform other duties as assigned.Desired QualificationsAbility to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and outside contacts.Ability to utilize software packages including financial/accounting software and MS Office.Have a strong desire to be a contributing team member.Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.High level of initiative and accountability.Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.Solid problem solving and decision making skills.Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.Job Type: Full-timeExperience:Account Management: 1 year (Required)Collateral Analysis: 1 year (Required)Trend Analysis: 1 year (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Required)Location:Los Angeles, CA (Required)
