Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead contact and day-to-day administrator responsible for assigned clients.

Maintains effective relationships with client contacts.

Handles more complex and higher volume clients.

Interprets plan rules to ensure compliance with plan documents and summary plan descriptions (SPD).

Prepares and reviews written communications.

Leads special projects as needed.

Analyzes and assists in developing policies and benefit plans covering group life, accident and health insurance, retirement and pension plans, income continuation and other benefit programs.

Maintains an ongoing effort to determine and maintain equity with current benefit trends and legislated requirements and programs.

May mentor employees with less experience.

Additional Considerations: Position will sit at Pinellas School Board location in Largo, FL Assists in production of annual, quarterly, and weekly communications to internal and external client stakeholders.

Coordinates with district communication staff, webmaster and other key personnel to ensure timely dissemination of news and information.

Strong digital and written communication skills utilizing multiple platforms.

Assists in disseminating information and coordinating publicity for benefit, retirement and wellness related events.

Develop, coordinate and host virtual meeting / technology both for content and systems capabilities.

Coordination of the administration of employee benefit program to manage benefit programs such as a self-funded medical coverage, dental insurance, group life insurance, vision, and other benefits.

Manages / liaison between Gallagher, clients communication unit, all insurance carriers and the client.

Consults with and advises employers on employee eligibility, provisions, and other matters related to managing benefit system platforms that are escalated by administrators.

Manages the administration of system tools, loads employer/employee data.

Makes decisions regarding eligibility of employee groups.

Assist in the preparation of communication regarding system use, employee benefits booklets, trends, wellness program and other employee benefit communications.

Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.

Researches trends in benefit and wellness for the purpose of writing stories and promotional materials that can be disseminated to various audiences.

Works with the Director, Manager, Wellness Coordinator, and other key personnel, to coordinate the communication and marketing for our benefits, retirement, and wellness plans.

Strong written and verbal communication to various audiences through different forms of technology.

Licensed insurance representative Preferred.

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in communication/marketing.Required: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience.
