About FAVOR Upstate FAVOR is a Movement.
FAVOR is all about organizing the recovery community to put a “face and voice” on recovery and to provide intervention and recovery support services to those seeking recovery.
FAVOR Upstate was incorporated in SC in 2004.
Its work is part of a national recovery advocacy movement whose vision is to provide people affected by substance use disorders with access to the support they need to achieve and maintain long-term recovery.
FAVOR is a Center.
FAVOR Upstate, and its outposts in Anderson and Spartanburg, are our communities’ “Welcome Centers to Recovery.” Using innovative approaches not available anywhere else in our area, FAVOR offers new hope to individuals and families suffering with substance use disorders.
We believe that easy and immediate access to intervention services and recovery support over the long-term is the missing link in our system of care.
Programs and services at FAVOR Upstate are offered at no cost, so that people do not face any financial barriers to participation.
FAVOR is a Family.
The healing that happens at FAVOR brings our participants close to one another through their shared bond of suffering caused by addiction.
Participants reach out to newcomers, who are facing the fresh, private grief of addiction, and accompany them as they find their own path to recovery.
Participants know that they are not alone, that FAVOR is their recovery sanctuary, and that they are cherished members of the “FAVOR Family.” Vision & Mission FAVOR Upstate exists so that everyone affected by substance use disorders in the Upstate region of SC has a fighting chance at recovery.
The community embraces and celebrates recovery from substance use disorders as a positive, healing force.
FAVOR Upstate provides a compassionate and innovative response to the suffering caused by substance use disorders for over 5,000 individuals in Upstate South Carolina each year: Rebuilding Lives, Empowering Families, Changing the World.
