Description:
The CEO of Los Angeles County is seeking well qualified candidates with a successful track record of developing, implementing and leading a comprehensive data strategy to serve as the new Chief Data Officer (CDO).
This is an unclassified position that is responsible for the County’s data and information strategy, governance, and policy development.
The CDO is the head of the Enterprise Information Management Program in the CEO’s Office of the Chief Information Officer.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public or Business Administration, or a related field, AND five years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide information management programs.
Three of the five years of experience must be specific to creating and directing a data focused culture and advancing data and analytics maturity at the enterprise level.
Experience must also include management of enterprise information management architectures and platforms, across the organization.
License: A valid California Class “C” driver’s license or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
