Overview: The Charter Pilot (Astra SP – IAI-1125) is responsible for the safe, efficient, management and operation of the Charter flights for Part 135 APC operations.
They are responsible for compliance with rules, regulations and policies as issued by management of the Company, airport authority, Federal Aviation Administration and other pertinent authorities.
General Duties
• Must adhere to all safety standards established by the Company and regulatory agencies.
• Interact with customers, vendors and Atlantic employees in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Application of the principles of the “Atlantic Attitude” at all times.
Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Comply with all applicable rules and regulations.
• Maintain qualifications in accordance with current Federal Aviation Regulations and Company regulations appropriate to the category and class of aircraft to which they are assigned.
• Maintain a current FAA medical certificate.
They will provide a copy of that medical certificate to the Chief Pilot with any additional certification that may be required, such as in the event of a Special Issuance Certificate or Letter of Demonstrated Ability.
• Notify the GM of Charter and Maintenance whenever a medical deficiency exists with themselves or a member of the crew that would affect the safety of the flight.
• Ensure the navigation charts being used for the intended flight are current and up to date.
• Keep your copy of the General Operations Manual current.
• Report for duty not less than one hour to 90 minutes prior to dispatch time or as assigned by dispatch.
• Notify the GM of Charter and Maintenance whenever a pilot may violate a duty or rest rule due to being dispatched on a flight.
• All procedures and duties as outlined in the PIC/SIC general operations manual.
Qualifications: PIC Qualifications
• ATP
• IA-1125 Type Rating, 250 hrs.
in type and recent flight experience
• Previous 135 experience required
• First Class Medical
• 3,000 hrs.

• 1,500 hrs.

• 2,000 hrs.
Multiengine
• 1,500 hrs.

• Commercial Pilot Certificate

• Turbojet or turboprop experience, IA-1125 Type Rating, is a bonus Additional Requirements for PIC/SIC:
• Computer and iPad proficient
• International experience is a plus
• Maintain professional skill and knowledge
• Must be able to lift and manipulate standard baggage allowance weight
• Comply with all DOT-FAA and company drug and alcohol testing protocols.
