Job Summary: Analyzes and facilitates improvement in the quality and appropriateness of the care given within assigned service line. Collaborates extensively with physicians, nursing staff, and other caregivers to ensure collection of pertinent clinical data including designing data collection processes. Using discretion and independent judgement, aggregates, analyzes and facilitates clinical process improvements including peer review activities. Key processes include: prioritization of clinical opportunities to improve, aggregation and analysis of clinical performance improvement data using statistical tools and techniques, facilitation and/or leadership of performance improvement teams, councils, and taskforces. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience:

Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred Three years’ relevant experience: Preferred Essential Functions: Leads and facilitates clinical performance improvement in assigned hospital teams. Ensures clinical performance improvement cases, action plans, and improvement efforts are completed. Ensures communication of clinical performance improvement activities and outcomes throughout the hospital and medical staff organization and to external audiences as appropriate. Ensures medical staff peer review is timely, complete, and in compliance with bylaws, rules and regulations, outside regulation and policy and procedure. Aggregates and analyzes the data in support of peer review, committee review, and performance improvement teams. Conducts initial and follow-up reviews of cases requiring root cause analysis. Leads and participates in hospital-wide activities related to strategic and operational goals. Ensures the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of abstracted data within assigned clinical areas. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
