A bit about the role:We’re seeking a fun and flexible part-time CFO to join our team and help support our small business clients.
This role is pivotal in supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners to reach their business goals.
Day-to-day you’ll be working alongside an Accountant and Controller to collaborate and deliver accounting services to a wide range of small businesses.Now about youYou’re adaptable We work primarily with smaller organizations that have big goals.
Being adaptable to help meet their needs and goals is a large part of the role.
Each client is unique and has different needs, so being able to jump into each client to advise and assist is key.

Your specific responsibilities will be to:Provide oversight of the overall accounting function through analysis of financial statements and providing counsel to the accounting teamWork with client to develop and implement strategic plans, shifting the client’s perspective from the day-to-day challenges to focus on the key priorities for long term successPrepare and deliver quarterly Strategic Business UpdatesDevelop annual operating plans along with ongoing analysis of variances from the planned outcomesDevelop long-range cash forecasts Manage multiple client relationshipsBe a proactive liaison with the client’s banker, attorney, investors, etc.Create and provide financial modeling to help clients understand and plan for the impact of future events or decisionsAdditional responsibilities include:Serve as a member of the executive management team, attending board meetings as requested by the clientProvide financial coaching to client’s leadership to help clients make informed financial decisionsWork with clients on contract negotiations by fostering strong relationships and evaluating terms to help minimize risks and maximize benefitsEvaluate terms of debt instruments, compare competing offers, and negotiating for the best possible termsAssist client in locating the right resources for exit strategy planning and providing analysis and reporting in support of the processBe a resource for the client with mergers and acquisitions by developing a plan, defining needs, preparing schedules, and leveraging subject matter expertsRaise capital by assembling the financial story and model growth trajectory to support client fundraising needsPerform other duties as assigned from time to time by clients or other team members The successful candidate will have:Proven leadership experienceBachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
