What You’ll Do:
- Work in close partnership with CEO, and the rest of the Executive leadership team to drive the business forward through reliable and insightful metrics and strong financial leadership
- Build and lead a high-performing lean Finance team, with strong business partnering capability and timely and accurate reporting of financial and operating metrics
- Instill strong financial, OTC process and cash discipline in the business. Actively drive down the working capital footprint of the business
- Maniacally drive a data-driven mindset and implement best in class data analytics and KPI/OKR driven decision making on growth, ROI and margin performance
- Maintain optimal investor relationships among the multiple shareholders; and actively participate in Board meetings
- Ensure adequate funding at all times and execute funding rounds as appropriate in partnership with the CEO
- Institute strong financial controls and ensure compliance to all applicable regulations and statutory requirements. compliance / audit , data security and fraud prevention
- Build and lead financial planning processes, including forecasting, budget planning, modeling and financial analysis.
- Lead the team in preparing monthly and quarterly reports including dashboards, KPIs and business trends; using these to challenge the business leadership on key priorities and performance
- Ensure timely and consistent preparation of quarterly and year-end financial statements, statutory and lender/investor reporting, and financial analysis.
- Execute treasury management including efficient review of the liquidity, credit and debts management.
What You’ll Need:
- 15+ years of progressive financial management and leadership experience ideally across logistics/supply chain industry as well as in a tech first/ data enabled solution provider.
- A strong bias to action and ability to operate ‘hands-on’ at a granular and actionable level; partnering with the operational and commercial teams
- Current or recent CFO experience in a private equity or venture backed company.
- Experience with companies that have gone through rapid growth while instituting controls and systems/process discipline
- Deep appreciation and affinity for tech enabled disruption in logistics/supply chain sector highly desired.
- Experience of managing fundraises, capital markets and institutional investors. IPO experience is a plus though not a must have.
- SEC reporting experience in a public company or similarly governed business.
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred. Ideally but not necessarily with a CPA qualification
