– Day and Night Positions Summary: Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of nursing.
The primary commitment is to the patient, so an important responsibility includes following through with tasks and following up on communication with the nursing and RT staff to help provide optimal patient care.Responsibilities:Perform basic care skills under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse including vital signs, intake/output measurement, catheter care, CPR, restraint management, bowel and bladder training and documentation of care in the patient record.Responsible for assisting the licensed nurse in meeting the patients’ needs in the areas of personal hygiene, personal care, skin care, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, body mechanics, elimination, and psychosocial support.
Provide adequate, safe care, maintain knowledge about each patient assigned and participate in reports with nursing and other unit techs.
Requires attention to detail related to patient care restrictions and special instructions or issues (diet instructions, fall risk etc).
