Atlas is seeking a Certified Coder to join their growing teamCoderJob Description:Making sure that codes are assigned correctly and sequenced appropriately as per government and insurance regulations.Complying with medical coding guidelines and policies.Receiving and reviewing patient charts and documents for verification and accuracy.Following up and clarifying any information that is not clear to other staff members.Collecting information made by the Physician from various sources to prepare monthly reports.Handling all patient communication such as: billing questions and collecting payments.Pay Rate: $23-$25 depending on experienceLocation: Wasilla, AKLicenses/Certifications:Valid Driver’s License and auto insuranceMust compete required competencies to validate and maintain competencyMust be a certified coder for the State of AlaskaExperience in Outpatient billing preferredWorking Environment:Works indoors in Agency office and occasional travel for office duties.Job Relationships:Supervised by Office Manager and Medical DirectRisk Exposure:Low Risk
