Description:PH Mining Equipment is currently seeking to hire highly skilled and qualified machinists for our exclusive client in Milwaukee, WI.
P& H is a leading manufacturer of mining equipment, draglines, and mining shovels.Receives work assignment; secures drawing and process sheet if required; determines sequence of operations; type of set up and machining requirements such as speeds, feeds, dimensions, tolerances, etc.Determines necessary attachments, tools or fixtures; obtains and return tools, fixtures, etc.
as required.Inserts tape in reader, automatically obtains feeds, speeds and sequence of operations.Places work piece on machine table manually or hitches and moves with aid of cab or floor operated overhead crane or hoist; clamps piece to table using appropriate holding fixtures and devices.Sets up piece making close measurements at multiple locations to level and align work on table.Set up may be of difficult nature due to irregular shape of part.
Presets own tools.Determines tool length, qualify size, location and depth, and adjust parts reference.Selects proper cutting tools for operation and secures to bar or spindle; may feed tool manually into work piece; observes operations closely, checks dimensions, and adjust as needed.Removes piece from machine, stamps as required, remove burrs, cleans out chips and coolant and set aside.Performs very close tolerance machining operations such as drilling, boring, reaming, facing, milling, cat head turning, etc.
