Black Rock Market Cafe in Los Angeles, CA is looking for one cashier to join our 7 person strong team.
We are located on 600 S Spring Street R2.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working.
Responsibilities:
*Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.
Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
*Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.
*Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
*Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
*Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport.
*Make the customer aware of current and upcoming promotions, sales, and new arrivals.
*Say thank you after every customer interaction, and be sure every customer leaves satisfied with their shopping experience.
*End-of-shift register closeout report, and balancing.
*Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the customer.
*Following all store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards.
*Follow all state, and federal procedures/guidelines regarding the purchase of specific items, such as alcohol or cigarettes.
*Maintaining a clean workspace.
Sweeping, wiping shelves/high-traffic areas, and pick up debris to keep store clean
Requirements:
*Be at least 21 years of age.
*High School Diploma or equivalent.
*Customer service or Cashier experience.
*Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
*High level of energy with strong customer service skills.
*Basic math and computer skills.
*Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work with other team members.
*Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
*Attention to detail.
