The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation, including trials, with demonstrated excellence in dependability, pro-activity and the ability to work independently and within an assigned team.

This person will have 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary in litigation, be able to file in both State and Federal Courts, format documents with MS word, Adobe and legal software, possess strong organizational skills and be able to work in a high stress atmosphere.

Job Requirements:Assist the litigation team regarding management of litigation claimsProvide support for two to three litigation attorneysMaintain complex litigation cases with multiple partiesScanning documents, typing correspondence (transcription) and drafting litigation documentsAnticipating changes in litigation or transaction preparation requirementsProvide case management assistance and tracking of litigationDistribute correspondence, litigation, and other paper and electronic documentsTake charge of case file when enter litigation stagePerform a variety of administrative and clerical duties for litigation attorneys in the legal departmentRespond in real time to ever-changing schedules and shifting prioritiesProofread and finalize legal documentsAssist attorneys in preparing, proofreading, revising and finalizing legal documentsManage reports, files and other business correspondenceWork for a large firm and support a busy deskbrHire an experienced litigation legal secretary with experience in civil litigation and/or commercial litigationAssisting with state and federal filings, including e-filingProvide primary professional legal/litigation secretarial support to insurance staff counsel office handling personal injury automobile defense litigation including no-fault defense mattersProviding primary legal/litigation secretarial support to a small but expanding insurance staff counsel office located in FtIdentify trends and areas of concerns to be addressed in order to avoid future litigationRevising a high volume of State and Federal pleadings
