57398BRJob Title:Carbon Capture and Sequestration System Engineer-Decatur, ILDepartment/Function:OperationsJob Description:Carbon Capture and Sequestration System Engineer-Decatur, ILThis is a full-time, exempt position.Position Summary:Carbon Capture and Sequestration System (“CCS”) Engineer is a salaried exempt position based in Decatur Illinois.

This role reports to Decatur campus Utilities Director and is responsible for sub-surface operations (down well, expansion project management, and overall CCS system technology support.Essential Job Functions: Drive compliance with ADM safety, health, quality, and environmental programs and policies Foster/execute process optimization improvements contributing to our run rate goals and objectives.

Drive achievement of ADM (Strive 35) sustainability goals (energy/carbon improvements).

Engage/research/develop, sequestration technologies and resources for targeted deployment, that improve efficiency and increase optimization.

Coordinate/manage contractor personnel performing injection well permit compliance sampling and reporting activities and subsurface operations maintenance requirements.

Provide subject matter expertise and manage capital projects related to improvements and expansion of the system including equipment selection, design review processes, vendor evaluation and related contractor management.

Coordinate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and various levels of management within Operations, Specialty/Technical Centers of Excellence (Utilities, RCM, CAPEX, EHS, Automation, Technology CoE’s) and non-Operations stakeholders.Critical Knowledge: BS Engineering in Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical or equivalent.

Master’s degree (either MBA or Engineering) is a plus.

Direct experience with high pressure compression systems, deep-well maintenance, and measurement.

Financial valuation experience rationalizing and evaluating capital investments.

Familiarity with technical aspects of carbon sequestration system construction and operations.

Experience in ADM PE, FEL, and WAVE systems is a plus.

Familiarity with relevant energy, environmental, and tax regulations and related subsidies for carbon markets as well as understanding of California LCFS carbon credits.Critical Skills: Personally committed to working safely and maintaining a safe working environment.
