The Team Associate is the first impression of the campus and the first point of contact for visitors. This role is responsible for being the “voice” of the campus and for supporting the Campus Pastor and staff while working with church members to achieve the church’s mission and objectives. The person in this position will be extending the ministry of Saddleback Church to our staff, members, and surrounding community.
Primary Duties:
- Screen visitors to control staff interruptions
- Fielding, screening, transferring, or routing calls as needed and arrange “callbacks”
- Create weekly bulletin inserts
- Create the campus weekly newsletter with the direction of the campus pastor
- Manage church calendar
- Take notes in staff meetings to ensure proper follow-through
- Update church schedule of events internally and on the website
- Handle all credit card coding and check requests
- Make travel and meeting arrangements for the campus pastor
- Maintain office space, phones, parking, credit cards, and office keys
- Access and help update campus budget as required
- Responsible for placing digital orders and completing print projects through our Central Communications Platform
- Oversee all CLASS logistics (setup, tear down, volunteers, paperwork needed, etc.)
- Assist the campus pastor with campus communication
- Other administrative duties as necessary
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proficient in MS Office
- Experience in coordinating multiple events
- Strong attention to detail
- Project management
- Ability to work well with all levels of management, staff, clients, and vendors
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to recruit, lead and motivate volunteers
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to manage shifting priorities
- An understanding of Saddleback Church and its culture and values
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of related experience preferred
