Accentuate Staffing has an immediate need for a Buyer-Inventory Planner for a customer focused pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Raleigh, North Carolina.
In this role, the Buyer ensures materials are available for production to maintain customer service requirements and in support of a lean supply chain.
The buyer maintains inventory levels using MRP.
The incumbent is responsible for keeping master data current for all BOM items and supporting the site’s goals for value improvement/cost reductions through active sourcing and supplier negotiations.
Responsibilities: Coordinates activities involved with procuring GMP and non-GMP materials and assuring release for production use.
Analyzes MRP report to determine ordering, expediting of components as necessary to support production/sales.
Confers with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability, and delivery schedules.
Negotiates contracts for purchases and services.
Places purchase orders for needed materials from MRP triggers.
Maintains computerized procurement records and all supporting documentation.
Coordinates the implementation of the phase in and out of new and obsolete inventory.
Monitors revision changes of primary and secondary components to be in compliance with cGMP procedures.
Discusses defective or unacceptable material with quality control personnel, users and others to determine the source of trouble and takes corrective actions.
Responsible for the discard of obsolete or expired materials.
Occasionally involved in physical inventory counting of warehouse materials.
Occasionally involved in regulatory revisions of primary and secondary components.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Ensures processes and products are in compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations and are in cGMP compliance.
