What will you be doing in this role:

The Business & Operations (Bis/Ops) Specialist is a business-savvy change agent leader, a corporate strategist, a product specialist, and a workflow designer. They understand how clinical operations work and are tasked with defining the field of opportunity and project scope. This position must wear many hats to develop the operational structures needed to drive growth, expansion, and innovation of digital capabilities to reflect Cedars-Sinai’s reputation as a highly visible, innovative, digitally- savvy, and customer-centric healthcare organization.

  • Will lead and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage a portfolio of projects throughout the project lifecycle and within scope and schedule.
  • Serve as a link between clinical operations and technical resources to ensure the business model is in alignment with Cedars-Sinai’s vision and strategy.
  • Define and implement consumer-facing digital products and services for Cedars-Sinai; contribute to the development of thought leadership across a range of emerging business, technology, and design topics; contribute to business development ahead of, as well as throughout, client engagements.
  • Maintain insight into the digital health ecosystem and the landscape of digital technology, to advise Cedars-Sinai’s digital strategy development and engagement planning and to identify key trends and opportunities to shape our digital strategy.
  • Serves as cross-functional change agent supporting the spread of streamlined consumer digital experiences within the organization; helps strike the balance between client’s needs and business requirements; ensures all perspectives are appropriately represented.
  • Leverage knowledge of Cedars-Sinai people, processes, and culture to advise minimal viable product (MVP) definition and go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with the other consumer digital team workstreams (i.e., design, product) to help define and prioritize product features for future releases, align and prioritize across goals, turning points, resource allocation and timelines for key work.
  • Foster an environment of innovation and customer centricity, institutionalizing agile innovation practices and customer insight to action culture; facilitate the build and testing of operational processes, systems, and reporting capabilities; implement continuous feedback, learning, and iteration for products and services.
  • Partner with various internal stakeholders to advance a vision for end-to-end digital journey, including personalization, conversion, and loyalty through innovative digital touch points. Improve overall happiness by creating capabilities for patients to manage and be in control of their digital healthcare experience.
  • Monitor project schedule, define appropriate resources, make adjustments that are within scope of responsibility and recommends changes as appropriate.
  • Support with development appropriate metrics and measurements to evaluate the efficiency of the digital strategy, products and services, and make adjustments as vital to improve efficiency.
  • Generate metrics report to leadership on a periodic basis.
  • Also establishes key performance indicators for venture outcomes while also defining the business model and case for new ventures, products and services.
  • Communicate internally to bring findings from various digital initiatives to service line operations and strategy teams.

Experience Requirements:

Three (3)+ years of experience in healthcare technology business operations including strategic development and business planning.

One (1)+ years of experience as a Bus/Ops Strategist of an early-stage start-up in the digital consumer healthcare space or experience in the healthcare industry. (preferred)

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, IT, or a related field.
