Business Development Executive

Job Overview We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to join our sales team! The ideal candidate is Type A, energetic, confident, a self-starter, and willing to get his/her hands dirty. At a minimum, you should have a background in business development/sales and high-volume relationship management at other SaaS companies or marketing agencies.

Let’s be clear this isn’t a role for everyone.

You’ll face rejections daily.

You’ll have to think outside-of-the-box to get the attention of prospects who’s seen the same cold emails 50 times earlier that morning.

You’ll have to unafraid to fail, and despite the numerous setbacks, still do whatever it takes to get sh*t done and close the deal.

Of course, for all the hard work and dedication we expect from you, we’ll reward you accordingly. You’ll have a clear path for advancement, performance/commission-based bonuses, and company-wide incentives for success. Bluntly, the entire company relies on you to be successful at your job. But that means you have to be tenacious and possess some serious grit.

Role

  • Plan and execute in all stages of the sales cycle — from prospecting to closing.
  • Identify new prospects, generate business, maintain sales forecast and pipeline information.
  • Develop and qualify leads.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients.
  • Maintain consistent contact with existing clients.
  • Schedule calls with prospects and deliver mind-blowing, personality-driven demos.
  • Diligently update CRM with latest information for metric tracking.
  • Coordinate quotes/proposals in response to client requirements.
  • Meet weekly/monthly quotas.
  • Provide feedback and input to Sales, Account and Product team regarding target markets, new client use cases, feature requests, etc. that support the expansion of the company’s capabilities and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university.
  • 3+ years in the sales industry (either at another SaaS company or marketing agency).
  • Comfortable in high-growth, high-intensity environments.
  • Authoritative understanding of the Shopify e-commerce ecosystem and the digital marketing funnel — be able to speak knowledgeably on topics such as conversion rate optimization, paid media/search, analytics, programmatic advertising, etc.
  • Experienced in the full sales cycle including delivering demos and deal closing.
  • Demonstrated sales success and established record of quota attainment.
  • Tenacious negotiation skills.
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • CRM experience is preferred (HubSpot, Close, etc.).
