BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ANALYST

The Business Development Analyst will work closely with the Senior Management Team and Business Managers to evaluate and lead targeted investment and entrepreneurial opportunities that support organizational analytic and strategic objectives. The Analyst will develop financial models and sensitivity analysis to evaluate tradeoffs and opportunity costs, and ultimately make recommendations to the Senior Management Team on how to prioritize its business development opportunities. The Analyst will operate under general or minimal supervision and perform duties with broad latitude for judgment.
Job Functions
Research and evaluate all relevant business opportunities, initiatives, and campaigns in order to provide executives with strategic recommendations and alternatives (including project-based return analysis and lifetime consumer impact considerations)
Evaluate opportunities in order to provide team executives with strategic recommendations and alternatives on critical business initiatives
Build financial models to calculate net present values and internal rates of return for various potential investment paths
Apply financial models by presenting and making recommendations based on analysis and findings
Support the Business Enterprises department with targeted return-based analysis to justify and prioritize areas of development
Perform related duties as required
Basic Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a closely related field
Minimum five years’ work experience in finance
Experience with venture investing or investment banking preferred
Mastery of financial modeling; proficiency in statistical modeling a plus
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office is required; working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Salesforce, VBA, and statistical languages such as R is preferred
Familiarity and good judgment with a broad range of methodologies and tools, such as exploratory data manipulation and analysis, regression analysis, forecasting models, simulation, probability models, and optimization
Possess excellent reasoning, problem-solving, creative thinking, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to successfully design and implement cross-functional projects
Basic understanding of organizational structure, goals, and mission
