Now, about the opportunity: In the Business Affairs Executive position, you?ll lead our Business Affairs team for our US and LATAM offices..

This is a role where you?ll provide deal making, oversight, and advisory services across a diverse slate of commercial advertising productions and unscripted entertainment development deals.

Role & Responsibilities * Lead the MediaMonks business affairs team and ensure production-related business affairs is managed seamlessly.* Take the lead in negotiations for rights deals for creative production projects, advise on compliance matters and legal clearances, and provide legal awareness training to the production team.

* Act as the liaison between the production team and the legal team.* Engage in day-to-day negotiation and review of production project scopes and production terms, content rights and talent/likeness negotiations.* Flag potential legal or business affairs (copyright, talent, location, union) issues.

* Review creative, vendor agreements, talent agreements, location agreements, and other key production documents.* Oversee, guide, and set processes with producers to ensure optimal efficiencies and a smooth process with vendors and other third parties.* Work with producers on the project wrap process to ensure proper documentation/tracking of talent rights, asset licenses, music rights, etc.* As needed, liaise with third parties to manage network clearance, broadcast trafficking, talent payments, usage rights.* Set the day-to-day business affairs policies and guidelines.

* Manage at least one business affairs manager and be willing and able to manage a larger team * Work closely with the legal team to assist in finalizing agreements and dealing with issues as they arise.

* Efficiently communicate status and tradeoffs with other members of the company, including Finance, Legal, and Production.

Requirements * Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science and JD or JD/MBA.* 8-10+ years of business affairs experience at a marketing agency or production company.* Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate and interact with agents, managers, and third parties * A comprehensive working knowledge of industry agreements, guild and union regulations (DGA, SAG-AFTRA, WGA, #839), contract law and intellectual property rights as they relate to advertising, marketing, and production.* Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational and computer skills.* Experience leading a team and building processes from the ground up.* Fluent in English, and preferably Spanish.* Enthusiasm to work in a team, but also independence to work with minimal supervision.* The ideal candidate will be proactive, hands-on, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure of tight deadlines and accurate.

In other words, a self-starter with a strong work ethic.

* Must be able to manage a varied, high-volume workload efficiently and smoothly, operate autonomously within corporate parameters, and remain cool and collected in high pressure situations.
