JOB TITLE: (ILS, SEP, Quest, Options)REPORTS TO (Title): Program SupervisorCLASSIFICATION: Non-ExemptSUMMARY OF POSITION The is responsible for training, evaluation, and support of individuals with developmental disabilities in-home and community-based settings, including Build’s Behavioral Day Program and places of employment.

Supports and services may include vocational counseling, pre-employment planning, preparation, individualized support while in the home, on the job, in the community, and participating in site-based programming.

The focuses on supports and interventions based upon each client’s individual goals and the client’s Person-Centered Plan.

The Person-Centered Plan focuses on a person’s strengths and ability to direct their own lives with support and uses an individualized approach to assist each client in overcoming any challenges that are a barrier to reaching their goals.

The performs his/her fiduciary responsibility to the organization within the ethical guidelines set forth by Build’s Core Values.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provides direct support and instruction to clients in various settings; documents interventions, progress, and barriers for each session/unit of service; collects and records data related to goals stated on Individual Service Plan.

Assesses the effectiveness of instruction/intervention provided; documents observations about effectiveness in service log notes; reports observations toProgram Supervisor or their designee.

For Supported Employment clients: Assesses the employer’s requested job duties, completes a task analysis, and submits analysis to the Program Supervisor or their designee at least five days before the individual’s start date; Supervises employed participants and ensures the satisfactory performance of assigned jobs; Facilitates long-term safety and retention of job placement through individualized training, motivation, employer intervention, and advocacy.

Uses digital client service platform to accurately record all data, progress notes, session comments, concerns, and action plans for each session/unit of service.

Facilitates instruction and support to clients based upon unique needs and goals.

Areas of support include, but are not limited to: basic skills, toileting, feeding, dressing, hygiene, socialization skills, self-regulation, management of challenging behaviors, self-empowerment, safety, budgeting, and daily living skills.

Advocates for client choice in all settings and empowers clients to exercise their rights; advocates for the client’s inclusion into the community; assists clients in developing natural supports Teaches clients how to navigate and manage community resources successfully.8.

Ensures the safety and well-being of all clients served; immediately reports anyincidents that impact the client’s safety or well-being to Supervisor.

Independent Living Service clients: Assists the individual in maintaining budget and reporting earning to Social Security; Implements direct services and training of independent living skills based on assessment and the Individual Service Plan utilizing program curriculum.

For Community Integration and Behavioral Day Program clients, takes public transportation with clients to explore the community; teaches travel safety and awareness of surroundings.

Embraces the philosophies of Independent Living.

Advocates for disability rights while using positive reinforcement to shape behavior and habits.

Uses creativity and enthusiasm to help clients build confidence and accomplish their goals.

Works collaboratively with other Build s, Supervisors, Managers, and Administrative Staff to uphold Build’s Mission, Vision, & Values in all job duties; reports any violations of Build’s Code of Conduct to the Human Resources Department.

Other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor or Manager of ProgramsWork Experience* Two years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, preferred* Two years’ experience in training, teaching and/or supervision of clients/students, preferred* Familiarity with regional center funded services, preferredEducation, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification* High School Diploma required* Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or must obtain within first 60-days of employment)* Training in behavior modification and/or positive teaching techniques preferred* Must have a valid California Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance* AND/OR* Reliable mode of transportation (no mileage reimbursement)* Reliable smartphone and willingness to download work-related applications* Proof of Criminal Background ClearanceKnowledge/Skills* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to resolve disputes* Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)* Ability to learn and confidently use program support software* Strong attention to detail with a high accuracy rate* Dependable, reliable, and demonstrated strong work ethic* Possess a high level of discretion and confidentialityPI136469923
