Ideal candidate will be experienced in resistance spot welding on miniature aerospace devices.
Job Function:
Performs electronic and mechanical assembly, Bridge welding and associated tasks as directed by the Production Supervisor or Lead person in support of the manufacturing of ordnance devices.
Specific Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- All Ordnance assembler 1&2 responsibilities.
- Performs bridge welding on ordnance sub-assemblies.
- Set up of resistance welding equipment (bridge welding).
- Operation of assembly equipment under close supervision.
- Operation of induction soldering equipment.
- Manual soldering of components.
- Perform self inspection of work performed
- Meeting job completion schedules.
- Accurate reporting of run times and quantities.
- Meet or exceed established production quality requirements.
- Comply with all company, customer and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Maintain equipment and work area.
- Fulfill all duties assigned by the Production Lead or the Production Manager.
- Promptly notify Lead or Production Manager of all out of tolerance parts, job difficulties and equipment problems.
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience Requirements:
- Requires ability to read and understand drawings and travelers
- Basic math skills
- Ability to measure using SMI ( standard measuring instruments)
- Ability to use electronic meters.
- Prefer minimum one year experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions:
In the manufacturing area, will be exposed to machinery, chemicals, noise and explosives, will be required to wear personal protective equipment.
Physical Demands:
Sitting and standing 95 % walking 5%. Use of hands, fingers and arms to operate equipment or hand tools, ability to lift 20 pounds, ability to work with microscopes. Twenty-twenty or corrected vision required.
Other applicable requirements:
Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.
