Position: Brand Ambassador Location: Employment Type: Full-Time Reports to: Managing agency Works closely with: Heaven’s Door Marketing Team, Heaven’s Door local sales team of Direct Reports : 0 Summary An exciting opportunity to work with one of the fastest growing spirits brands in the US. As a Brand Ambassador you will be a trained brand expert and educate bar owners, managers, and bartenders. You will help build brand visibility in on-premise and retail accounts, achieve distribution goals, and provide customer service and support in your key accounts with the robust program tools provided to you. Major Responsibilities/Activities: Brand and Category Championship Serve as brand/category/mixology expert. Work to establish and leverage our portfolio as the expert in the category. Have expert knowledge on competitor brands. Support national initiatives in local market; serve as a host on scheduled visits to brand’s home place when applicable. Conduct competitive analysis and master class level training. Utilize category knowledge to represent our whiskies in local industry expert opportunities. Provide specific brand expertise in retail to leverage our brands both when sourced on your own and when requested by our sales team or distributor. Test on premise cocktail programs locally, assist in launching nationally. Achieve brand growth through new distribution, menu placement, increased account visibility, increased brand awareness and sips on lips. Brand, Cocktail and Category Education and Training Educate the consumer, trade and agency through direct interaction including: Provide brand expertise/training at the distributor and key account level. Provide brand education to amplify consumer and trade dinners as well as other educational opportunities. Sales Integration Liaise with the local sales team to help build the brand in target accounts. Activities include: Increase communication and sales of our whiskey collection by assisting sales teams with tastings, trainings and sell in as needed. Coordinate with local sales and distribution teams to increase target right account lists and distribution. Present at distributor GSMs and educate distributor staff as needed. Execute hand selling events in key retail locations. Account Integration Increase Brand Footprint in target accounts. Activities include: Increase family of brands footprint through obtaining new points of distribution Strengthen category leadership by obtaining menu placements in influential accounts. Increase communication and sales of our whiskey collection. Support key accounts with the robust program tools provided to you. Increase in account velocity, visibility, and rate of sale. Financial Responsibility & Administrative Requirements Effectively forecast and allocate program resources against brand commitments. Manage market allocated budgets. Timely submission of required program documents and deliverables. Timely and accurate submission of all reporting. Minimum Requirements: Four years of experience within the whiskey category, at least one year in a similar role. Strong knowledge of all spirit types and familiarity with craft brands across categories. Entrepreneurial minded Creative thinker with an ability to innovate around the brand. Excellent public speaking, presentation, and communication skills. Able to collaborate and develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of extended sales and brand teams. Has sound financial skills and experience managing a budget. Willingness to work unconventional hours (late nights and weekends). Shows strong networking skills and ability to build and maintain relationships within accounts, communities and organizations. Creates documents, reports, and event recaps. Ability to lift weight more than 40 lbs. Ability to carry weight more than 40 lbs. Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to pick up and transport Point of Sale (POS), event equipment, and product. Additional Comments: This is a full-time position based on an annual contract with the client. This is not an entry-level position. This position is for someone who has shown proven success in product education, product demonstration, and sales. Understands consumer targets of each brand and how brand and channel fit with consumer motivations by occasion. Practices timeliness for all meetings, is well dressed, always practices responsible drinking habits, and prepares for meetings in advance. Ability to link brand strategy, brand communication, and brand promise to experiential/episodic consumer events. Additionally, the Brand Ambassador is expected to participate in brand planning meetings from inception and ideation through execution to ensure that the experiential piece will work in the trade.
