Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for Boxing Specialist to produce quality medical instruments in accordance with Arthrex Manufacturing Inc.

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this position.

This position will be for 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 6am-4:30pm).

Starting July 1st, Arthrex will increase its starting wage to $15.00 per hour.

We are also offering a $750.00 retention bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings), which will be paid out to you after completing your first 90 days and are an employee in good standing.

Main Objective: Entry level position that ensures that production plan goals are accomplished by supporting Pre-Packaging, Quality Control, and Packaging Production personnel in the inspection, labeling, packaging/boxing, and palletization of products in the preparation of Work Orders for sterilization or final preparation for shipment to customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs daily cleaning of all Boxing and/or Secondary Packaging areas including work tables, chairs, equipment, fixtures, bins/containers, pass-throughs, tools, and label dispensing and printing equipment.

Ability to find and open packaging instructions and work instructions from MQ1 and/or Agile based on product structure requirements.

Responsible for performing area clearance and maintaining line separation while running work orders.

Prepares and manages Boxing/2nd Pack work station to ensure continuous flow manufacturing.

Labels all bins used for materials/scrap and ensures that issued materials matches the BOM (Bill Of Materials) prior to starting a work order.

Responsible for ensuring correct and complete labeling of device packaging and cartons.

Responsible for inspecting unit packages for complete seals and labeling.

Responsible for packaging, labeling, and boxing non-sterile products.

Completes WO Router for paper DHR.

Completes operator and shift information required ensuring sequence packed is accurate.

Verifies sterilization method per the BOM and product sterilization requirements.

Ability to navigate ERP system independently and demonstrate proficiency.

Familiarization with all departmental paperwork and adheres to company and departmental paperwork, policies and procedures.

Notifies Boxing Coordinator, Boxing Supervisor, and/or Textile Supervisor of any production, safety or performance issues as they arise.

Helps the growth of AMI as a world class medical device manufacturer.

Suggest continuous improvement ideas.

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required Manufacturing or distribution experience including counting, inspection, boxing, labeling and palletization.

Operation of mechanized boxing and labeling equipment a plus.

Basic personal computer skills are required.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: An individual must have the ability to perform tasks by reading, understanding and following work instructions provided.

Ability to work independently when necessary.

Able to determine materials and tools required to perform the operation.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: The technology and the frequency of the technology required to perform this job are as follows; the operation of Zebra thermal transfer label printers, Bosch-Doboy band sealers, burst test equipment, weighing scales, label dispenser machines, and tappi charts.

Operation of manual pallet jacks is required.

Familiarity and ability to learn use of document scanners, badge scanners, wedge scanners and touch screen PC monitors is also required.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above.

Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management.

Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

Physical Demands: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
