Adaptive Professional Solutions LLC requires a bookkeeper on a part time basis 3 days per week for one of our clients in New York City.Required duties may include one or more of the following:Full cycle accounts payable and receivablePayroll processingBank and credit card reconciliationAbility to keep books on the accrual basis including preparing necessary adjustments with supporting analysisMonthly closing duties including journal entries as necessary and trial balanceMaintaining detail analyses and workpapers to support account balancesProducing monthly financial statements for review by managementEstablishing and maintaining a chart of accountsDefining bookkeeping policies and proceduresWorking with outside accounting and auditing firms as necessary to help prepare taxes and complete the audit or review, including providing support documentation and analysis as requiredAssistance with filing normal business tax returns such as commercial rent tax and sales tax.Ability to assist with preparation of income tax returns is a plusRequired education and skills:Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business preferred.Strong knowledge and experience with GreatPlains accounting software.
