Bookkeeper

Job Summary:

4Site Development and Oro Properties are looking for a skilled bookkeeper to maintain financial records for buildings currently under construction and ones completed and operating.

As the development branch of the company, 4Site focuses on building high quality, sustainable housing in the Downtown Los Angeles Area quickly and cost efficiently to create excellent housing with finishes and amenities that make it desirable to prospective tenants.

The property management branch of the company, Oro Properties, strives to be the apartment community provider of choice by providing residents with an exceptional service in a home environment.

This position presents an exciting opportunity to work in the real estate development and property managements worlds.

We are looking for a skilled bookkeeper to maintain financial records for buildings currently under construction and ones completed and operating.

The right candidate for this position will be extremely organized and detail oriented with a can-do attitude who has excellent communication skills.

You will play an essential role in our business by supporting the Controller and the construction team.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is largely responsible for maintaining financial records for construction projects and operating properties, but also includes some responsibilities associated with office management, payroll, and material ordering.

Some of the main responsibilities are as follows:
Maintaining financial records for projects currently under construction
Organizing and submitting loans draws to bank for projects currently under construction
Reviewing credit card statements
Obtaining competitive pricing for construction materials and placing orders per construction team
Construction team weekly payroll
Coordinating some construction services like security and street permits
Bank reconciliation for Entities of the Development Projects
Credit card positing in QuickBooks
Assisting the Controller in human resources matters
Organize and maintain 1099 vendor files
Assist in tenant utility billings
Managing office material supply and weekly cleaning service
Perform other tasks as needed by Controller and Construction team
Job Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting is a plus but not a requirement)
Experience in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel preferred
3+ years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping
Detail orientated
Strong organizational skills
A positive attitude and a passion for checking tasks off a list (What we do is challenging and rewarding, confidence and dedication are essential)
Excellent written and oral skills
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00
– $60,000.00 per year
