Boeing’s Special Test Equipment & Architecture Group is seeking multiple Senior Special Test Equipment System Design Engineers (Level 5) to join our team in El Segundo, California.

Position Responsibilities: Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture Leads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success Leads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S.

Secret Security Clearance (U.S.

Citizenship Required).

Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Active Top Secret clearance Ability to get a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 6 years or have you been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required Experience with high frequency RF, Digital, power and analog test system design Understanding of RF (radio frequency) communication systems, EVM (earned value management), standard modulation and demodulation formats Experience Performing RF gain, accuracy and repeatability signal budget analysis for complex RF systems Experience with RF measurements including Gain, Amplifier Performance, intermodulation distortion, phase noise, spurious measurement test techniques, group delay Experience with electronics laboratory RF Test instrumentation such an Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, bit error rate testers Experience working with analysis tools, such as Pspice and Vector Signal Analyzer SW Experience with product configuration management Experience with software/coding using LabView, Test Stand, C/C#, Python, FPGA Verilog/VHDL, and Matlab Signal Processing Experience leading automated test system design verification/validation Experience managing/leading engineering projects.

Experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi-discipline teams Experience mentoring junior engineers Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD9 years’ related work experience, Master12 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
