Find your future with us.Boeing’s Special Test Equipment & Architecture Group is seeking multiple Senior Special Test Equipment System Design Engineers (Level 5) to join our team in El Segundo, California.Position Responsibilities:Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutionsLeads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfacesLeads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architectureLeads analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission successLeads, develops, maintains and identifies improvements the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processesThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistryPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active Top Secret clearanceAbility to get a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 6 years or have you been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer requiredExperience with high frequency RF, Digital, power and analog test system designUnderstanding of RF (radio frequency) communication systems, EVM (earned value management), standard modulation and demodulation formatsExperience Performing RF gain, accuracy and repeatability signal budget analysis for complex RF systemsExperience with RF measurements including Gain, Amplifier Performance, intermodulation distortion, phase noise, spurious measurement test techniques, group delayExperience with electronics laboratory RF Test instrumentation such an Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, bit error rate testersExperience working with analysis tools, such as Pspice and Vector Signal Analyzer SWExperience with product configuration managementExperience with software/coding using LabView, Test Stand, C/C#, Python, FPGA Verilog/VHDL, and Matlab Signal ProcessingExperience leading automated test system design verification/validationExperience managing/leading engineering projects.Experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi-discipline teamsExperience mentoring junior engineersTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G. PhD+9 years’ related work experience, Master+12 years’ related work experience).
