The Boeing Company is hiring a Senior Module Lead Engineer to join either Hazelwood MO, Long Beach CA, Mesa AZ, or Plano TX.

The Computing Platform Software team is in need of a Module Lead Engineer to fill a technical lead role, known as a software architect or module lead engineer (MLE), and carryout the associated responsibilities in support of one or more software infrastructure projects within Boeing AvionX, including micro-architectures.

This software engineering position requires an experienced background in developing real-time embedded, mission critical and safety critical software, including practicing levels of rigor, DO-178C safety standards, and the associated software processes and tools needed for defense based cyber assured architectures and commercial based FAA certified software.

The ideal candidate has prior experiences as a software technical lead or architect, and has completed a 24-month or longer software development project from beginning to end.

Software projects include typical team sizes of 12 to 24 engineers, utilizing a combination of US-based and international sources for both development and test.

Position Responsibilities: Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.

Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system.

Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.

Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities.

Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics.

Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects.

Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations.

Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards.

Works under minimal direction.

This position allows telecommuting.

The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.

Security Clearance for which the U.S.

Government requires U.S.

Citizenship.

A final U.S.

Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): ?

Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry 4 years of experience in Object-Oriented Development in C++ programming Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with the Atlassian tools suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Git and Bamboo), with the ability to create, organize, track and predict the software project with custom dashboards and velocity metrics via Jira plug-ins such as structure and eazyBI Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise (SAFE) processes and tools, and the scrum master and product owner roles and responsibilities Experience with earned value (EV) management system or control account manager (CAM) processes and tools Experience with real-time, embedded, object oriented, infrastructure domain software Experience with DO-178C safety standards, CI/CD automation and pipelines, requirements based testing and FAA certification Experience with DevSecOps and Model Based Engineering tools such as Atlassian Suite, Cameo and the integration of security tools into CI/CD pipelines E xperience do you have performing system requirements verification testing Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD4 years’ related work experience, Master7 years’ related work experience).

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
