Maritime Undersea (MU) is a growing business focused on delivering complex solutions from seabed to space.
We are seeking a strong Structural Analysis Engineer in Huntington Beach, CA to join our team!
As a Structural Analysis Engineer (P2) in Maritime Undersea, you will have the opportunity to performstatic and dynamic analysisto support the development and delivery of highly complex mechanical systems/hardware that includes primary structures, mechanisms,electronic packaging, and wires/cables.
We are seeking engineers with working level knowledge of stress principles, and finite element model (FEM/FEA) tools, who are proactively motivated to expand their knowledge on material properties, fatigue, vibration, thermal analysis and loads development.
As a key member of our Analysis Team, you will have the opportunity to present analytical findings to peers, leaders, and our customers.
Clear communication skills with the ability to consolidate complex data into simple messages is highly valued.
**This position requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret U.S.
Security Clearance post startfor which the U.S.
Government requires U.S.
Citizenship.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher inMechanical, Aeronautical orAerospace Engineering or related technical fieldMinimum 1 year of Structural Analysis Work ExperienceMinimum 1 year experience with Finite Element Modelling (FEM) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):2+ years working in Mechanical Engineering related technical fieldAn interest in developing Undersea Products and learning more about the unique analysis considerations for these unique environmentsExperience with Boeings Standard Analysis tools (CSW, NASTRAN/PATRAN)Experience navigating CAD Tools such as CATIA V5 or NXStrong communication skills Active US Top Secret Security Clearance Willing to submit to a CI Polygraph Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
Master).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
