Find your future with us.This experienced Sensor Algorithm Engineer (Level 3), will support the Phantom Works Space Advanced Missions team across multiple programs in developing and implementing rendezvous and proximity operations capabilities in El Segundo, CA.
In particular this position will focus on the algorithms and software tied to image processing and target estimation.
Position Responsibilities:Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.Resolves cross-functional technical issues.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S.
Top Secret/SCI with Tier 5 (formerly SSBI)clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or related technical field.3+ years’ software development full-life cycle experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Active Top Secret U.S.
Security Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation SCI/SSBI eligibility.Previous experience with sensors and image processingExperience leading projects or project teams through the software life-cycle.
Typical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.
PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.
