Individuals with approved accommodations will be subject to frequent COVID-19 testing.-The Southern California Operations Center in Seal Beach, CA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineers with broad knowledge of Boeing commercial aircraft hydro-mechanical systems, aircraft fluid systems, landing gear systems, payloads systems, environmental control systems, propulsion & fuel systems, electrical systems, avionics systems, flight controls systems, general systems design and/or repair, systems troubleshooting, and general engineering principles.

The candidate will have working knowledge of various systems requirements on multiple heritage Boeing, heritage Douglas, and Boeing 787 airplane models.Position Responsibilities: Assesses system failures, evaluates repairs, and develops solutions for continued safe operation of aircraft.Acts as point of contact for incoming calls and BCS Service Requests (SRs) when Primary Support is unavailable.Develops solutions utilizing sound repair logic, experience, and published data.Collaborates with other support groups in the team and external support groups to develop solutions.Communicates with customers if additional information is needed or roadblocks arise.Provides troubleshooting assistance to customers via telephone.Initiates proactive solutions.Designs and/or provides analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue service.The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R.

§ 120.15 is required.

US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.The position requires flexibility to work a nonstandard schedule, which may include working 7days-on/7days-off, holidays and weekends, and second or third shift hours to support the Boeing fleet operating 24/7/365.8 + years of related engineering experience.The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):ABET Accreditation is preferred.Experience with Boeing aircraft data (hands on experience is a plus).Customer Service ExperienceAirframe and Powerplant license is advantageous.Typical Education and Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.G.

PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience).
