Overview: Archer Western/Traylor Bros JV, a member of The Walsh Groupis currently seeking a Boat Captain for the SETF/Howard Frankland Bridge Replacement (DB), in Tampa, FL.

The Boat Captain’s primary function is to operate a boat or barge in support of construction projects.

Coast Guard regulations.Maintain ships log, including safety reports of Man overboard, fire fighting, abandon ships drills and pre sail inspection report including machinery fluid levels and electrical systems.Train deck personnel responsible for duties required during safety drills.Command deck personnel while making tow or mooring tug and/or barges.Maintain and perform light maintenance as required to ensure safe operation of vessel and crew including deck winches, deck safety equipment, machinery and electrical systemsMaintain navigation equipment in accordance with Coast Guard regulations.Ensure and oversee vessel cleanliness including bilges, machinery space, galley and wheelhouse.Ensure all pollution devices are well equipped and readily available.Maneuver vessel/barges in close spaces while maintaining safety of crew and personnel onboard.Solve problems with crew and reprimand crew as necessary with company safety standards.While working with others use manners and be polite solving problems.Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience requiredLicense required
