Company Description Brakin Out is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that desire to call public attention to the problems, needs, and potential successes of at-risk youth.

To move prevention and intervention programs into the public school system and within the Department of Juvenile Justice.

To shift public policies away from prison and jail construction toward prevention and early intervention for at-risk youth.

We plan to evolve, expand, and sustain impactful programming within Tampa Bay as well as to become a leader in paving both a state-wide and a nation-wide initiative in the prevention of youth violence, drug abuse, crime, and delinquency.

Job Description Brakin Out Inc (BOI) The mission of Brakin Out is to elevate our disadvantaged youth through mentorship and reclamation.

is seeking experienced and influential professionals, with a commitment to grow and expand the impact of the organization.

Our ideal board candidate is a person that is solution focused and a doer The board ensures that the organization is fiscally responsible, accountable and sustainable.

In addition to policy and governance, board members will leverage their network and contacts for the furthering of the organization’s mission and to raise funds for the operating budget of the organization.

Time commitments and Responsibiltities: It is important that the candidate understands how much time it takes to serve on the Brakin Out, Inc.

board.

Aside from regular meetings, board members are expected to participate in one committee or project and participate in the fundraising events and initiatives Attend quarterly board meetings (4rd Saturday of the month).Attend and lead and actively participate in committee meetings /calls or lead specific projects.

Term: 3 years Board Dues: Board Members are required to pay annual dues Qualifications Qualifications Expertise in one or more of the following industries: Human Resources, Sales, Marketing and Public Relations, Finance (CPA or Banking), Event Planning, Fundraising/Grant Writing, IT, Legal, and Operations (Process Management).

Board experience preferred not required Direct Leadership experience preferred Prior experience in nonprofit environment a plus Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
