How would you like to work Per Diem as a mobile Phlebotomist?
The Blood Donor Phlebotomist I function under supervision by senior licensed technical/clinical personnel. Responsibilities include assessing donor health histories and collecting whole blood and blood components from blood donors both in house and on mobiles. Serves as a problem-solving resource. Additional duties include routine and specialized operational and support functions, such as receiving and stocking supplies; performing quality control and preventive maintenance of equipment and assisting with set up and break down of mobile equipment and supplies. Other duties may include driving the mobile truck and the self-contained unit, loading, and unloading mobile supplies and equipment, and stocking/restocking mobile supplies. Participates in special assignments or projects as specified. Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the donor/ patient population(s) being served.
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Phlebotomy Certificate (CPT1) that meets the mandates of the laws and regulations of the State of California, preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) years of experience as a blood donor phlebotomist, including familiarity with laboratory information systems, preferred.
