Position Overview: The incumbent will work in close partnership with cross functional stakeholders to manage sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and executing impactful acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
This role will conduct research, make strategic recommendations, perform diligence, facilitate relationship building, and advise the leadership team and board as we advance our M& A and growth strategy.
This position will also be responsible for market analysis, transaction analysis and overall strategy development with room to expand into projects that include strategy and plans for product pricing, customer cohort prioritization, and overall value generation.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collaborate with the CEO, COO, the board, and others (including our external CorpDev partners) to develop corporate development and strategic partnership opportunities in a progressive, systematic and routine fashion.
Build relationships with each business unit to keep an ongoing flow of ideas that supports strategy development and executionHelp develop a roadmap and the corporate development deal pipeline, including outreach to and sourcing of new opportunitiesWork alongside investment bankers to identify acquisition targets and negotiate their purchase, as well as prepare to raise equity or debt as required.
Related diligence support, modelingWork with bankers and other team members in completing necessary analysis including valuation and business case modeling to provide detailed guidance and insight into potential acquisitions, investments and other strategic opportunitiesSupport deal negotiation, due diligence and investments, including cross-functional coordination of product, engineering, legal, and other diligence supporting teams to evaluate targetsResponsible for financial modeling for M& A, joint ventures, project development and financing activities as needed and appropriateGrow into other areas of influence and leadership as our team scales from 50-150 employees and strives to 5x our valuation in the next 12 monthsSkills and Required Qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the job posting countryBachelor’s degree in Economics or Finance preferred, but not required5-7 years of relevant work experience, including venture capital, private equity, strategy consulting, or corporate development experienceIntermediate to expert level experience using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and reading financial statements (IFRS/GAAP)Exceptional problem-solving and time management skills plus a keen attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skillsExceptional regard for confidentiality and organizational skillsAble to prioritize work, pivot as necessary and meet deadlinesAbout Us: We Know Nodes.Blockdaemon is the leading blockchain node infrastructure platform.
