Blockchain Engineer

A crypto-native Neobank are in the building stages of an MVP focused on serving the Latinx community.
They are looking for a Blockchain Engineer to join their team as they are building a supporting backend API that will eventually evolve into a blockchain-as-a-service platform that enables consumer-facing applications to easily issue wallets and Solana-based token rewards for their users.
This is a greenfield opportunity to design and implement a new application free from the constraints of technical debt.
They are big advocates of code craftsmanship and writing idiomatic code using best practices such as Test-Driven Development and Pair Programming.

Responsibilities
– Pair programming with us on our full blockchain platform-
– from RESTful backend API code in
Node / Typescript to Solana program code in Rust.
– Actively evolving the design and architecture for a highly scalable blockchain-as-a-service
product.
– Reverse engineering source code to understand how to integrate with Solana programs.
– Interfacing with subject matter experts, vendors, and members of the crypto community to vet
solutions, clarify understanding and gather feedback on prototypes.
– Writing clean, modular, scalable code with Test-Driven Development.
– Actively communicating technical decisions and initiating collaborative dialogues with the team to continually improve overall code quality and design.
Requirements
– 5+ years of experience developing, supporting and maintaining Production environments
– Knowledge of cryptocurrency protocols and blockchain management best practices
– Strong experience developing large-scale concurrent, event-driven distributed systems
– Working knowledge of development, deployment and maintenance of smart contracts or blockchain programs
– Familiarity with blockchain-related security best practices and cryptographic solutions
– Production experience securing digital assets
Desirable
– Rust
– Working knowledge of the Solana blockchain and writing on-chain programs
– Proven track record of developing and maintaining DeFi products and/or APIs
– Experience running blockchain nodes
– Experience building and maintaining custodial wallets
