SUMMARY:
As our Bioprocess Engineer you will lead and support projects related to the manufacturing production startup and continuous process improvement projects of our cell therapy programs. You will support experiments to test out new technologies and work cross-functionally with other departments to design, test, and implement new processes on to the manufacturing floor.
MUST HAVES:
- Process Optimization Experience
- Process Development Experience
- Upstream Cell Culture Experience
- Deviations & Investigations Experience
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support for tech transfer, GMP startup, and continuous improvement activities for autologous cell lines.
- Contributes to processes improvement opportunities and supports projects to incorporate improvements from start to completion.
- Organization of data to present process improvement recommendations and/or the outcome for study results
- Support troubleshooting and mitigation efforts for the resolution of deviations investigations, and process issues.
- Executes experiments to support process development and optimization efforts.
- Provides hands-on technical support during tech transfer and scale-up to the cGMP suite.
- Supports the generation of documents including batch documentation, qualification protocols, evaluation protocols/reports, investigation reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provides equipment engineering support for process at ImmunityBio, with a focus on single-use technologies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors in Bioengineering
- Experience in cell culture
- 2+ years of industrial/cGMP experience in upstream cell culturing
