Summary : The Supply Chain Analyst controls and manages the process to create monthly production orders to ensure adequate supply is maintained in the pipeline to meet future demand.
This person is also responsible for following up with Manufacturing when production order fill rates are low and determining the root cause, and to evaluate if additional production can be obtained for high priority SKU’s.
This position assists with matching future demand with supply to determine where gaps may exist and communicates those gaps to both the Supply Chain and Sales groups.
Those gaps are also communicated to the plant to determine the root cause, how long those constraints will exist, and if those constraints can be eliminated.
The Supply Chain Analyst also tracks mold capacity to help determine if additional mold are required to meet future demand.
Duties and Responsibilities : Helps calculate production order though excel spreadsheets Conducts monthly meetings with Sales to review the production order Communicates with plants regarding production order modifications Determines if additional molds are required for future demand Tracks production orders and fill rates Tracks and communicates mold transfer status Creates overstock reports and various ad-hoc reports Data mining and analysis Essential Knowledge and Skills: Advance Excel/Access Skills Strong organization skills Strong analytical skills Effective communications skills Proven ability to build strong relationships Proven strong decision making skills Fluent in both English and Japanese (writing, reading, and speaking) Education and Experience : 2
– 4 years’ work experience in an analyst role, Supply Chain/Purchasing or other relevant supply chain work experience is a plus Experience querying data, creating pivot tables, using vlookups, and analyzing data.
